Helping Adults & Teens Stop Feeling Stuck

Everything Feels Heavy

You wake up already exhausted even though you slept. Getting through the day feels like moving through thick fog. You're going through the motions at work, with friends, with family but inside you feel numb or empty or just deeply sad.

Maybe you've lost interest in things that used to matter to you. Maybe you're isolating because it takes too much energy to show up. Maybe you're beating yourself up for not being able to just snap out of it. You know something needs to change but you don't have the energy to figure out what.

You Might Be Experiencing

●      You feel sad, empty, or numb most of the time

●      You've lost interest in things you used to enjoy

●      Getting out of bed feels impossible some days

●      You're exhausted even when you haven't done much

●      You feel disconnected from the people around you

Depression is exhausting and lonely. Your days may feel like a struggle full of negative thoughts. Therapy can help.

Therapy Can Help You Feel More Like Yourself

It's possible to feel lighter and more connected to your life again. Imagine what it would be like to:

●      Wake up with energy instead of dread

●      Feel interested in things again instead of just going through the motions

●      Feel more connected to the people you care about

●      Actually enjoy your life instead of just surviving it

●      Feel hopeful about the future instead of stuck in the fog

Therapy can help you get there. Together we'll work on what matters most to you so you can start feeling better.

Find Your Way Out of the Fog

Depression may show up when you're living in ways that don't work for you or when you've been suppressing parts of yourself for too long. Whatever might be true for you, in therapy we'll figure out what's underneath your depression and I'll walk with you towards feeling more like yourself again.

We'll also work on the ways depression keeps you stuck. Maybe that's the negative voice in your head that won't let up or the isolation that makes everything worse or the exhaustion that makes it hard to take care of yourself. You'll learn ways to shift these patterns so you can start to feel better.

Over time you'll start to feel lighter. You'll reconnect with things that matter to you. You'll feel more present in your life and less like you're just getting through the day.

How Depression Therapy Works

Therapy sessions are 50 minutes and we'll work at a pace that feels right for you. Here's how we'll work together:

1. We'll create a safe space. You don't have to pretend you're fine or put on a brave face in our sessions. You can be honest about how hard things really are.

2. We'll figure out what's underneath your depression. We'll explore what's driving it so you can start to shift it instead of just pushing through.

3. We'll focus on what you need to feel better. Maybe that's quieting the harsh inner critic or reconnecting with what you actually want or figuring out what's keeping you stuck.

4. You'll try new ways of being. Instead of staying isolated or beating yourself up you'll experiment with different approaches to see what helps you feel more connected and alive.

5. You'll start to feel more like yourself. Over time the fog will lift. You'll feel lighter, more present, and more able to enjoy your life again.
