About My Services
Do you provide trauma therapy?
Yes, I work with clients healing from trauma using approaches such as somatic work to regulate the nervous system, “parts work” where we make space for and create dialogue between different parts of self, and supportive processing of the traumatic experiences at the client’s pace when the therapeutic relationship has developed safety and support for revisiting the overwhelming expriences.
Do you offer therapy for teens?
Yes, I work with teenagers who are navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, suicidality, relationships, attentional challenges (ADHD) school stress and relationships.
Do you offer family therapy or parent support?
Yes, I provide family therapy and parent support as helpful to support my teen clients to help improve communication, strengthen relationships, and address challenges together.
Do you offer couples counseling?
Yes, I provide therapy for couples who want to improve communication, rebuild trust, or strengthen their relationship.
Do you offer therapy for LGBTQIA+ clients?
Yes, I provide affirming therapy for LGBTQIA+ individuals, offering a supportive and inclusive space.
Practical Details
Do you offer in-person or online therapy?
I provide in person sessions at my office in Santa Rosa, CA. Online sessions are available for clients located anywhere in California
Do you offer evening or weekend sessions?
Yes, I some evening availability. I do not offer weekend sessions.
How long are sessions?
Most sessions are 50 minutes.
How long will therapy take?
The length of therapy varies by client. Many people attend for several months, while others continue longer depending on their goals.

Do you accept insurance?
I am out-of-network and provide superbills on request. Clients with certain PPO insurance may receive some reimbursement for sessions.

What to Expect in Therapy
What happens in the first session?
The first session is focused on understanding your needs and goals. You’ll also have a chance to ask questions about how I work.
How often do sessions happen?
Most clients begin with weekly sessions. Frequency can be adjusted as needed.
How will I know if therapy is working?
We’ll regularly check in on your goals and progress. Many clients notice changes such as improved coping or reduced stress within the first several months.
Is therapy confidential?
Yes. Everything you share is confidential except in rare cases required by law, such as safety concerns. We will discuss these exceptions in our first session together.

Is it normal to feel nervous about starting therapy?
Yes, many people feel nervous when beginning therapy. Sessions are designed to be a safe, supportive place where you can go at your own pace.
How do I know if you’re the right therapist for me?
You can learn more by reading about my approach, and during our first session we’ll see how well we fit. It’s important that you feel comfortable with your therapist and how the relationship is developing over time.
What if I don’t want to talk about something?
You don’t have to talk about anything until you’re ready. We’ll go at a pace that feels safe and manageable for you.
Will you judge me if I share something difficult?
No. Therapy is a nonjudgmental space. My role is to listen, support, and help you work through challenges without judgment.
Can therapy help me if I don’t have a major problem?
Yes. Many people benefit from therapy even if they don’t have a crisis. Therapy can support personal growth, stress management, and improving relationships.
Do you provide culturally sensitive therapy?
Yes, I provide culturally responsive therapy and honor the identities, backgrounds, and experiences that clients bring to sessions. I seek to bring humility to cultural differences and to take responsibility when say or do something insensitive. I believe that strong relationships acknowledge and honor difference and I bring this value to my relationships with clients.

Yes, I offer a free 20-minute phone or video consultation. This is a chance to ask questions, share what you’re looking for, and see if working together feels like a good fit before scheduling a first session.
